Frederick Herzberg has the kind of name you would assume belongs to a great scientist, psychologist or philosopher without me needing to tell you. He’s the mind behind the two-factor motivation theory.
Herzberg suggested that there are two mutually exclusive sets of factors in the workplace which drive both satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
In a nutshell, Herzberg says that what makes us want to work isn't money. It's the chance to learn, grow in responsibility , help others, and be recognized for our efforts.
So here’s a few lessons I’ve stolen from Clayton M. Christensen on how to have a happy career, a happy family, and stay out of jail.
